The rose is a beautiful
flower. Generally its colour is red; but there are many kinds of roses. Some
are yellow, some purple, some pink, and some are of crimson colour. Hot weather
is good for its growth. It grows largely in India, Turkey and Persia.

gives a very sweet smell. Every- one likes its smell and shape. It is a very
delicate flower. Nature has given it thorns for for its safety.
There are several kinds of roses. Some
are wild roses, while some grow in gardens. The garden roses are prettier and
attractive.
These are used at the time of
marriages, parties and functions. The rose water is prepared from roses. We
make pot-pourri from them. It is also used in making medicines. Fragrance is
also extracted from rose flowers.
