Look at the clock on the well. The face of the clock (dial) 1, 2, 3, 4,  5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12.In between each two numbers there are four small marks.

      The clock has two hands. It has a short hand and a long hand. The short hand shows the hours. The long hand shows the minutes.
           
      The long hand moves from one number to another in five minutes. The long hand makes a complete round in one hour. So there are sixty minutes in an hour.

     Where are the hands of the clock? The short hand is at ten. The long hand is at six. Now it is ten minutes past ten.
